Ampaglas Reduce Production Loss With New CMMS
Ampaglas has been an industry leader in technological advancements in the plastic sheeting industry since 1973. They were the first company in South Africa to manufacture flat and profile polycarbonate and twin wall polypropylene sheets and will continue to be a market leader with a new plant maintenance system from QBCon.
This innovative company recently identified a need for a technologically advanced computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) that would allow them to keep providing quality service to a growing market. They approached business solution provider QBCon for a product that would allow the plant to run smoothly, with less production loss due to maintenance.
QBCon's maintenance system Q-CMMS was designed specifically to allow manufacturers to have full control of maintenance procedures in a plant. With Q-CMMS management is informed when a machine is due for maintenance. Regular planned maintenance allows manufacturers to prepare for production loss well in advance, resulting in greater profitability.
In addition to Q-CMMS, QBCon will customise Ampaglas' system after identifying the need for a root cause analysis module. With this module, Ampaglas will be able to identify what exactly caused a machine to break down and what the subsequent damage was.
QBCon is in the process of implementing the standard Q-CMMS with a customised root cause analysis module to follow. Once the installation is complete, all system users will undergo extensive training with QBCon developers to ensure that they get most out of their unique Q-CMMS.
