QBCon Contracted by Central Analytical Laboratories for URS
Another leading South African laboratory has signed up QBCon, a business solution provider to complete a User Requirement Specification (URS). Central Analytical Laboratories (CAL) selected QBCon from competing industry heavyweights as the preferred Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) developer.
The specialist in the agricultural and horticultural industry analyse soil, plant material and fruit, animal feeds, water, fertiliser, lime, growth media and garden soil. CAL’s experience and flexibility enable them to review and implement other tests as requested by the customer.
CAL searched the market for a LIMS that will fit in with their business logic and contracted QBCon to perform a business analysis of the laboratory. This process will determine if Lab-i will meet their specific requirements. Lab-i can be fully configured and customised to CAL’s unique business requirements. QBCon uses the URS stage as documentation of CAL’s business requirements in order to assist them as a user to access the best system solution for the company.
LIMS is an important investment for any laboratory, but each laboratory environment differs from the other and needs a unique LIMS system. Lab-i offers a complete specialised and unique service, unique to each laboratory.
CAL isn’t the only laboratory that utilises Lab-i for effective laboratory management. Lab-i was also implemented with great success at the Agricultural Research Council (ARC), Bio Industrial and United National Breweries.
