QBCon ProdX

The QBCon ProdX Product Range is designed to provide Local Exporters with a fully integrated business software package.  QBCon ProdX consist of two separate modules, a Pool Module and Packhouse Module. These modules address the complete process from packhouse to shipment, as well as the financial and logistical aspects of the export industry. The design of these modules allows for easy customisation to fit your unique business requirements. The complete QBCon ProdX system maintains the logistics and costing associated with exporting, ensuring a broad range of functionality and flexibility, contained within a secure system.

QBCon ProdX is designed in the Microsoft Windows environment and is a well-defined and easy to use system that requires only basic computer literacy. When taking a closer look at the two respective modules there are 5 levels within the application: 

·          Packhouse      – Packhouse module

·          Consignment  – Pool module

·          Landing           – Pool module

·          Loading           – Pool module

·          Shipping          – Pool module

·          Costing            - Pool Module

 In each of these levels of application, after packaging, the supplier is directly linked to the product according to product specification.  Product specification consists of: packaging, the product within the package, the variety of the product, the quality of the product and the product size. All costing is calculated per product specification.

Packhouse Module

The Packhouse Module supports both logistical as well as static financial aspects associated with intake from supplier at the initial level. Data is captured within the system functioning as  “stand-alone” or integral part of QBCon ProdX.  QBCon ProdX has the necessary functionality to incorporate consignments in the Pool Module at consignment level.

From a financial perspective the Packhouse Module caters for all costing contributing to packaging and transport of the product but is mainly responsible for logistics. The main costing function is calculated in the Pool Module.

Features:

Static Data, Supplier Estimation, Supplier Receipt, Pallet Packing, Pallet Dispatching, and Inquiries

Static Data: Include various data such as the Supplier registration to add Supplier details for packhouse use.

Supplier Estimation: Estimations done per supplier registered per block of products produced for that specific financial year.

Supplier Receipt: When issuing the supplier receipt, it is clearly defined how products have been allocated.

Pallet Packing: Each pallet is added up to product specification linked to the Supplier.

Pallet Dispatching: Created pallets added to a dispatch point and approved to be sent to the Pool Module via mail.

Inquiries: All inquiries are done on pallet packaging and dispatching.

Reports: Various reports on Packhouse Module available.

Pool Module

The key feature of the Pool System its ability to conduct sophisticated costing. Agent. QBCon ProdX also has the functionality to incorporate single supplier pools. The Packhouse System handled the greater part of the initial logistics and interfacing between these two modules illuminates most of the logistics using importing functions. These Import functions link flat files from the Packhouse System and Paltrack to the Pool System and is associated with the appropriate application level.

Features: Static Data, Logistics, Product Accounting, and Inquiries

Static Data: In the static data function standard costs and the period they are applicable to be entered. Other static data include Grower Registration, Packhouse Registration, Commodity Registration, Service Provider, and Supplier Registration ext.

Logistics: The logistics function incorporates the total requirements of the Exporters. After importing dispatches into the consignments all logistics are incorporated. This includes Consignment Functioning, Landing Stock Functioning, Loading Advice Functioning and Manifest Functioning.

Fruit Accounting: Costing is fast and efficiently dealt with mainly in the fruit accounting function subdivided into Invoices, International Agent Invoices, Unapproved International Invoices, Loan Advanced Payments, Carton Advanced payments, Calculate costing, Supplier Payments.

Inquiries: All inquiries are done on logistics and fruit accounting.

Reports: Various reports on Pool Module available.
